Poem FAR FROM ME
FAR FROM ME Far from me, you drift away I call out to you, but you don't stay I grasp for you, but you slip through Leaving me with nothing, but a longing anew I whisper your name, but you don't reply I reach for you, but you push me by You keep moving, further from my sight Far from my world, into the dark of night I thought I could let go, move on with ease But the wound you left, it still brings me to my knees Time may heal, but this scar won't fade A constant reminder of the love we've made One moment I'm healing, the next I'm undone The wound bursts open, and I'm left to atone Too sad to cry, too broken to mend I'm left with just this longing, that never ends I want to reach you, to touch your heart But you're far from me, and we're worlds apart.
